I have dry and sensitive skin, but I’m also a stubborn Taurus so I never let that stop me from wearing all the makeup I want. If you’re like me, you need a makeup remover that makes up for those poor choices made throughout the day. Garnier’s new Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser promises to do just that so I tested it to find out.
Let’s break down the name, is it really a 3-in-1 product?
1. Makeup Removing
To apply I rubbed the product into my face and around my eyes, used cotton pads to remove and rinsed the rest away. My liquid, waterproof eyeliner is the most stubborn when it comes to removal and the product was able to remove this after a few wipes and applications. What’s most important is that it removed my eye makeup without irritating the skin and making it red which is no easy feat because the skin around our eyes is the most sensitive. This product is fragrance free and non-irritating. However unless a product is totally natural if it gets in your eye it may sting, as long as your careful while applying and removing this shouldn’t be an issue. The product also removed all of my foundation easily.
With a velvety texture and liquid consistency this product left my skin feeling hydrated, soft and supple. I like to apply a specific face moisturizer for good measure after removing my makeup but if I was busy, out of moisturizer or too tired to do so, using just this product as a lotion would do the trick.
A cleanser usually comes secondary in most women’s beauty routines and is often forgotten, this product is for those of us who are guilty of this. It did a great job of removing my makeup while giving my face a good clean, the only drawback is that because it is also a lotion and very smooth it doesn’t exfoliate the skin. If you’re looking for a deep clean and exfoliation this may not be the product for that. It’s great for an everyday cleanse and because it also removes your makeup its not an added step which you might otherwise skip.
This product lives up to its name and is a great value for your money. For a drugstore price you get 150 ml of product, sure to last you a decent time which is essential in an everyday product. Plus, makeup remover doesn’t need to be glamorous, if it does the job why pay more for high-end brands? I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an all-in-one makeup remover and it is definitely sensitive skin friendly, I’m impressed!
